This plugin exports meshes into the Volition V3D format. V3D model files are used for static meshes like clutter, powerups, etc in the game Red Faction.

V3D files are not directly loadable by RF PC. Before they can be used, they must be run through the 'ccrunch' utility (also part of the RedFaction Toolkit) and converted into V3M files.

This plugin exports mesh, skeletal animation and texture mapping data into Valve's SMD file format. It was orginally developed by Valve for Max 1.x and 2.x. This version is an improvement over the other SMD exporter here at MAX Plugins, in that it now correctly exports the mapping coordinates of all models, and is compatible with all versions of Max 4 and 5.

This plugin exports meshes, lights, and other supported objects into a VFX effects file for Red Faction. VFX files are used for any visual effect that can't be achieved through other means. If you have non-VFX solutions to something you want to show, via RED, or through TBL-file manipulation, you should probably try that approach first.

This plugin is part of the Red Faction Toolkit.

The VirtuaLight VIB Exporter allows you to export your scene directly from Max to the VIB format used by the VirtuaLight GI Renderer. The plugin supports export of scene files (*.VIB), shader files (*.VS) and geometry (*.MSH).

The following features are supported:
- Colours and bitmaps can be used for the background.
- All objects are converted to VirtuaLight binary meshes.
- UV mapping supported.
- Smoothing groups are NOT yet supported.
- Target spots and omni lights are supported.
- If no lights are in the scene, Sunlight and Skylight are automatically added.
- Target cameras are supported. Free cameras must be changed to target cameras before exporting.
- Particle systems are NOT supported at present.
- Standard materials are supported.
- Diffuse, reflection, opacity and bump maps are exported.
- Bitmaps and AVI mappings are supported.
- Procedural textures are supported.
- Blinn and Phong shaders are supported, all other get converted to Cook.
